 Program Educational Objectives (PEO)


The educational objectives of the Diploma in Electrical Engineering Program are to produce students who, after this course, are able to:

  • Be employed as a junior engineer and helps the organization in fields such as design, research, development, testing, manufacturing, operations and service systems;
  • Fulfill the needs of society in solving technical problems using engineering principles, tools, and practices, in an ethical and responsible manner
  • Demonstrate leadership skills in the workplace and function professionally in a globally competitive world; and
  • Progress through an advanced degree or certificate programs in engineering, business, and other professionally related fields.

The student from the Department of Electrical Engineering NMDCDAV POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE, DANTEWADA has the following abilities, knowledge, characteristics, and skills:

The PSOs of the electrical engineering program supported by the curriculum are given below. The students will be able to

  • Apply fundamental knowledge to identify, formulate, design and investigate various problems of electrical circuits, power electronics, and power systems.
  • Model, analyses, design, and realize physical systems, components or processes related to high current electrical engineering systems.
  • Work professionally in power systems engineering, control systems engineering and software industries.
  • Solve ethically and professionally various Electrical Engineering problems in societal and environmental contexts and communicate effectively.
